This haiku talks about death. The ''leaf '' represents a person and ''bed of brown'' represents soil. It says that when a person dies, its body will be buried in the ground in a grave or a tomb.
So leaf is a person; bed of brown is the soil and “I” is a man. There is man who is watching a burial ceremony and he saw a dead person who will buried in the bottommost of the soil.
Denotative meaning: Dead leaves usually fall on soil.
Connotative:
All end.In nature man die,We came from ashes and we turn back into ashes, when we die we are buried into the soil,we decompose in the hole. We're like leaves.
The leaf here represents a person and bed of brown represents soil and falling to the ground represents a man died to the ground and their is another man watching only that person and he did not care and love his burial.
This haiku example talks about death, illustrating burial ceremony, if how does it go. This sounds jargon in the first place for the reasons that the writer use idioms or shall we say idiomatic expression of feelings, where meanings are simply hidden. The purpose of which is that maybe to give more sympathy or even to refresh the emotional feelings of the listener. Let me share a short story I have read about this poem, were during the ceremony a Eulogy was given with his close friend, which part of his Eulogy was to read the poem in front of her close friend which he love the most. Before her friend died she asked him to read his favorite poem when she dies. He thought that her friend is just telling joke, but the week after next his close friend died.
Death is a normal part of human life. Certainly, it can appear unexpectedly and bring grief or fear, but it can also be peaceful and happy. I hope that in these death quotes you find enlightenment and peace.
Well, if I were to explain literary this haiku poem that says “Falling to the ground, I watch a leaf settle down in a bed of brown.” First line was that falling to the ground where in other words someone feel tired, hopeless, weak, unconscious or one is carrying heavy load that need rest, or even empty that cant able to pursue. The Second line that says “I watch a leaf settle down”, this means that to relax, to calm down, or moving down peacefully. And finally the last thought says “In a bed of brown”, which represent the symbol of nature which is the ground which can make his/her rest or break. Those are the thoughts that will define the haiku poems, which means that when a person dies, his/her body or remains in the coffin will be gradually buried or moving down peacefully, 6ft below the ground.
Thank you so much for reading my thoughts, have a great day ahead!!!
for me... it's about the person who wants to settle his problems because he/she don't want to live with it.. it is difficult for him/her.. having so much problem make people depressed..
The Bible says there is a time for everything. This Haiku talks about the time when a person bids goodbye to this world, the time of death.
The leaf here represents us. While we are still living, we stand differently in the society just like the leaves, they are found everywhere in the tree. There are leaves found higher than the others and there are some that are below. However, when these leaves dry up, they all end up with same color and same place - ground. When we die, we all end up to the same destination and that's also the ground. This emphasizes that all people, though we differ in our race, culture, attitudes, beliefs and other, we would all end up the same, equal, lifeless.
How great your achievement in your life dont forget to gives thanks to our LORD JESUS CHRIST b'coz times will come that we will die and next in our judgment time, be kind to other and live your life with our GOD. and always enjoy your every single second of your life..
